Table reads have already begun, giving the cast their first chance to discover the story together. At the same time, both our young and not-so-young actors are going through costume fittings, where Andrea, our costume designer, is gradually shaping the visual identity of the series. Marka’s story—packed with playful ideas and unexpected twists—is already setting the tone for the entire creative team.

Working with child actors brings a very particular energy to the set. For many of them, Marnie Blarney will be their very first experience in front of the camera. At the same time, we have to keep in mind their school schedules, which means our time for filming is carefully structured. That’s why preparation is so important: our production team is working hard to make sure that once the cameras roll, every moment on set can be devoted to the performances and the magic happening in front of the lens.

Behind the scenes, the visual world of the series is also taking shape. Our cinematographer Nick and production designer Michal are already busy shaping the look of the show and preparing its visual language. Many scenes take place in imaginative and slightly fantastical spaces, and we want them to feel as lively and engaging as the story itself.
